About the Founder

I am Georgia, a Chinese girl who was “pushed into entrepreneurship” by menstrual pain.

This is how it began. When I was in high school, every time my period came, my lower abdomen felt as if a heavy stone was pressing down on it. Each step felt like my whole body was sinking. Sitting for hours in the classroom made my lower back ache and swell with soreness. The pain was so distracting that I could barely focus.

During one school break, I returned to China and happened to be on my period. My mother handed me a herbal mugwort heat patch. After I applied it, I felt a gentle warmth slowly spreading across my lower abdomen. My lower back began to warm as well. After a while, the heavy, dragging pain gradually faded away. In that moment, I felt something shift. I felt that I had regained control over my body and my state of mind.

But the longer I used those patches, the more clearly I saw their flaws:

The patch was too small and did not cover enough area.

The packaging was not cute or refined. It did not feel designed for a young girl.

That question became the reason I stepped into entrepreneurship. After graduating from college, I founded BAOI® Herbal Mugwort Heat Patch.

Based on years of personal experience using herbal patch products, I redesigned and upgraded every detail.

I improved the quality of the mugwort, ensuring a purer and more stable herbal effect.

I added mugwort essential oil to the formula, something traditional patches did not include. Essential oil is the true essence of mugwort, allowing the warmth to be more concentrated, deeper, and more penetrating.

I replaced traditional adhesives with a gentle gel based layer that does not stick to skin or pull body hair, making removal effortless.

I made the patch soft, thin, and discreet so it remains invisible even under yoga pants or jeans.

I redesigned the packaging so it feels like a small gift you would want to carry with you, not a cold medical product.

As I grew older, I grew from a teenage girl troubled by period pain into an adult woman. I came to understand that at different stages of life, women experience different forms of stress related discomfort. Every woman deserves to become her own healer and regain control over her body.

Over time, BAOI®’s product line expanded alongside a woman’s life journey, from menstrual abdominal care to support for the lower back, shoulders, neck, and knees.

Through BAOI® Herbal Mugwort Heat Patch, this ancient herb from China that once helped me rediscover balance and confidence, I hope to offer every woman a natural warmth that helps ease discomfort caused by internal cold and tension, so she can return to a state of calm strength, balance, and self embrace.
